About Athanos
Our mission is to exist in both real and digital worlds at the same time. We are using the lessons learned in modern virtual reality to develop Athanos VIEW, a system that will enable comfortable, immersive 3D experiences on traditional 2D displays.
Our initial focus is to serve the gaming and entertainment markets, but Athanos VIEW is equally applicable to enterprise markets.
Modern 3D Explained
Immersive experiences can be viewed on 2D displays, powered by computers, laptops, game consoles and mobile devices. These experiences go to the next level when experienced in virtual reality (VR).
VR gives users a sense of presence within digital spaces by integrating accurate head-tracking with a stereoscopic head mounted display (HMD). However, a sacrifice is made when using HMDs: one must visually disconnect from the real world.
Athanos VIEW uses tracking technologies innovated by modern VR, along with a newly invented stereoscopic transmission protocol, to drive immersive 3D experiences on displays we use every day.
We view Modern 3D as high-definition portals into virtual worlds, delivering a convincing and comfortable sense of presence, without the visual disconnect.
